Gulfstream Closes Permanently in Century City

Established on May 28, 2003 Gulfstream in Century City is now permanently closed. So now those of you that crave those Heavenly Biscuits, Pan Fried Oysters, Campechana, or Grilled Artichokes will have to travel to satisfy your craving. Keep in mind that only Red Label Heirloom Artichokes from Castroville grown from rootstock passed down by Italian immigrants were ever grilled in the nearly fourteen-year history of Gulfstream.

Transition is always difficult but then comes the unveiling and the discomfort is soon forgotten.

There are new restaurants that have already been announced. Eataly is set to open in the summer… along with Din Tai Fung, Shake Shack, Compartes Chocolatier, Javier’s, La Colombe Coffee Roasters, MidiCi, Petros, Kafe, and Kafe Bugatsa.

Will that scratch your itch for fresh seafood or Gulfstream steaks? Perhaps not but there are other restaurants coming and we will keep you updated. Perhaps Gulfstream and Westfield can strike a deal to return the favorite of Century City stakeholders to the redesigned mall.
